Biography
Andrew O'Connor (2000, New Jersey) is a contemporary and folk artist working between Philadelphia and New Jersey. Although living in the latter, he is currently an undergrad at University of the Arts Philadelphia working toward a BFA in Photography and a Fine art minor. He specializes in photography and textiles to fabricate characters like pages out of a story book.
The work as it is now
Andrew's work is primarily focused on folklore and the over consumption of media while growing up with it. He uses heavy papers and utilitarian textiles to accentuate the age, use and natural variation of the respective mediums.
